Avoid KLM & Air France Business Class

A €5,000 ticket for an experience worse than a budget airline. Documenting the complete failure of service across 4 flights (PRG-AMS-SFO & SFO-CDG-PRG) in August 2026.

The "Customer Care" Response

After escalating severe safety, hygiene, and operational failures that completely ruined an expensive Business Class itinerary, KLM and Air France refused to offer any compensation. Instead, they sent this automated, dismissive template:

"I am sorry that you were not entirely satisfied with the cabin environment during your recent flight KL 605 on August 11, 2026 from (AMS) AMSTERDAM to (SFO) SAN FRANCISCO.

As an airline, our aim is to make every journey with us a moment of relaxation and satisfaction, and we recognize that a comfortable cabin temperature, clean surroundings, and balanced lighting all contribute to your well-being.

I regret that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. I would like to reassure you that all feedback is welcome and registered, in order to influence future service improvements and enhancements."

6 Serious Incidents They Are Ignoring

Total Power Failure in Cabin

On a premium long-haul intercontinental flight, there were absolutely no functional USB, 110V, or 220V power ports across the entire Business Class cabin. Working or charging devices was impossible, entirely defeating one of the main purposes of booking a business class ticket for a long flight.

Denied Lounge Access

Due to a poorly resolved delay managed by the airline, the promised and "guaranteed" Business Class lounge access became completely unavailable. There was zero proactive assistance or alternative provided to accommodate passengers stuck in the terminal.

Biohazard / Sick Passenger

A seriously ill passenger was seated in the immediately adjacent Business Class seat. The cabin crew's handling of this situation was woefully inadequate, failing to enforce basic hygiene protocols or offer alternative seating arrangements, creating a highly stressful and unsafe environment.

Botched Boarding at CDG

During boarding in Paris (CDG), ground operations failed completely. Premium passengers were forced to physically carry their 20kg carry-on luggage down and up two steep flights of stairs. This was physically dangerous and entirely unacceptable for a supposedly premium service.

Zero Ground Support

Throughout the delays and operational failures across the PRG-AMS-SFO and SFO-CDG-PRG routing, ground staff were either missing or entirely unhelpful. There was no dedicated premium transfer assistance, leaving Business Class passengers to fend for themselves.

Dismissive Customer Service

Despite paying almost €5,000 for this itinerary and suffering through multiple objective service failures, the customer relations department completely stonewalled all requests for rightful compensation, opting instead to send copy-pasted platitudes about "cabin temperature."

The Verdict: Worse Than Ryanair

When you pay nearly €5,000 for a Business Class ticket, you expect a functional seat, basic ground services, and an airline that takes responsibility when things go wrong. KLM and Air France failed on every single metric. Save your money and fly with a carrier that actually respects its premium passengers.
